Sat 30th June 2012 - Good Pic Nic

Well, I was officially invited even if I don't live at Connect Communities anymore, I knew that Jill & Janette was probably hoping that I would bring my "Famous" chicken wings,  I made some last night, warmed them-up in the over this morning before I left and when I got to Langley, they were still warm and quite good.  To me they were very good, but I'll reserve Judgment and see what other people are saying. They were all gone within minutes of being open.  I saw my Good Friend Michael Coss, my hero Myles Burgett and his mom, my former OT Adele MacNeill, Janette Jackman, the Leader of Operations for Connect, Glenda Bigueta and her husband Rod and family,  the kids have grown, they should at least be called "Young Man"  and several more people from Connect, overall it was a great afternoon, there's a couple I didn't see, Beryl Morel and one of my favourite the beautiful Ms. Belle, it's so fitting because "Belle" in French does mean "Beautiful" I only wish I was 25 years younger:-) I only took a few photos here they are below:

 The President, John Sherwood
Leader of Operations, Janette Jackman
 the real Boss in Langley
on the right Jill Koppang, Resource Teams Leader
I wonder if they have a Permit to build infrastructure like these :-)

My good Friend Michel Coss arriving with Melvin

Jill Koppang all proud of her construction, still standing
of course with the help of her Grandson
Move over Chef Ramsay, were cooking here
me and my Buddy Michael Coss
I had made about 50 wings, they were open, I went to get my camera at the table not far, when I got back, that's all that was left,  I guess if the Camera manufacturing business don't work, I can always open a chicken wings restaurant:-)  I don't think so, I can see Avigilon Corporation in 20-30 years, people won't remember the Google, Microsoft, Apple but they'll know Avigilon in just 6 years we were voted the Number One software company in North America by Deloitte Technology 500 ahead of such as Linkedin(49th) and Google(425th).  Probably why our stock price keeps going up and up, I have no problem with that at all.
 Glenda Bigueta
Michael Coss giving the thumbs-up, hope it was for the wings

Joke of the Day - Tuesday 19 June 2012

I got these from someone's Facebook Page, it was in French but it was so funny  and I had to translate it word for word.  Because I left the Canadian Forces as a Master Corporal.  Enjoy.
The Master Corporal

The Muscle mass of a Master Corporal is superior to his Total Weight
If Light is Faster than a Master Corporal, it’s because it is afraid of him

When a Master Corporal says “he’ll have an eye at it”  he’s not talking about his

One day Santa Clause knock on the Master Corporal’s door, he since takes the Chimney

A Master Corporal never Lies, the Truth is just wrong.

When a Master Corporal smokes a Joint, the joint gets stoned

A Master Corporal never tries, he succeeds

The Master Corporal’s Pitt Bull has a sign on his dog house with “Warning Master Corporal”

When a Master Corporal watches the Horizon, he sees his back

When a Master Corporal goes to a Restaurant,  the Waiter leaves a Tip

Only since the Master Corporal Plays, it is only important to Participate

The Master Corporal plays Bowling by Himself,  Nobody goes near the Master Corporal’s Balls

The Master Corporal is the only Man to have a Bible that has been autographed

The Master Corporal can surround all his enemy’s by himself

When the Master Corporal takes a leak facing the wind, The wind changes direction

A Master Corporal can slam a door that’s already shut

A Master Corporal has already counted to infinity twice

Many people wears Superman Pajama’s,  Superman wears Master Corporal Pajama’s

A Master Corporal doesn’t wear a Watch, he decides what time it is.

A Master Corporal can divide by zero

Good Day Happy Father's Day Sun 17 Jun 2012

Although I'm not a father, that I know of anyway, in my days, Protection meant you were carrying a concealed weapon,  I hope some guy/girl doesn't come knocking on the door one day and says "Daddy" :-)  Today I gave a Presentation at Lumberman's Arch in Stanley park in Vancouver for the Cheshire Homes Society of BC which runs the Transition apartment I'm in now.  I was supposed to show my Keynote presentation but it was daylight and the projector couldn't even project any sign it was on.  Like we say I just "Wing it".  Pat MacIntosh from WorkSafe BC was there and she was kind enough to video it with my HD Camera,  My good friend Michael Coss was there with his Dad(Bob) and his twins Nathan & Danielle and they sure have grown,  Michael was doing the walk for Brain Injury Awareness, he's an inspiration.  The video is at the bottom of this page. Bonne SoirĂ©e

Here's a few photos taken with my HD Video Camera by Pat MacIntosh, she may not even know she took photos as well, Thanks Pat.

Video is below thanks to Pat MacIntosh for the video.

Joke of the Day - Wed 13 June 2012

Got this one from my good friend Rod Gregg in Texas, very good

AMAZING SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES:

1. Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold the Vegetables while you chop.

2. Avoid arguments with Females about lifting the Toilet seat simply by using the Sink.

3. For High Blood pressure sufferers ~ Simply Cut yourself and Bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a Timer.

4. A Mouse Trap placed on Top of your Alarm Clock will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the Snooze Button.

5. If you have a Bad Cough, Take a large Dose of Laxatives. Then you'll be afraid to Cough.

6. You only need two tools in Life. WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use WD-40.

If it Shouldn't Move and Does, Use Duct Tape

7. If you can't Fix it with a Hammer, You've got an electrical problem.

Wonderful Visit in Vancouver - Sun 10 June 2012

Today was a great day for me, my Good Friend Rick Dunning and his wife Colleen arrived at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal and I went there to pick them up, it was great seeing them, me and Rick did the SSF Ironman Competition in CFB Petawawa, Ontario in 1984 when we were both Airborne Engineers with 2 CER 2 Tp, I was the Best-man at their wedding, hope I was the "Best" Man for the job :-) I think they'll remember what we did to their car :-) Colleen's Dad was our RSM at 2 CER, I remember like yesterday when I first got to CFB Petawawa and was walking to 2CER headquarters for the first time, RSM Storey came to us and told us to go walk on the grass so he could yell at us, but not to worry, there was an officer walking on the grass and he wanted to make sure he heard and get the message across not to Walk on the grass, I thought that was priceless, he's a great man.  Rick is still with the Forces, he's now a Major, and is the Royal Canadian Air Force(RCAF) Fire Marshal and look after all fire protection issues within the RCAF.   I gave them a very quick tour of our Manufacturing plant in Richmond, we briefly stop by my place and they met Kurbitten, then we went to The Old Spaghetti Factory in Gastown and Colleen and Rick treated me to Lunch, after lunch I dropped them off at their Cousin's in Coquitlam, BC, here's a few photos.  Thanks for lunch Colleen & Rick it was a short, but wonderful visit,  I will have to stop by the "Peg" one day.
